In an effort to keep our commitment to maintaining originality while also improving the player experience at our tournaments, Green Sports Africa is proud to present to you the first edition of Kito Cup.

Kito Cup is our first tournament of 2018 and will replace AstroTurf Challenge. Kito, which means gem in Swahili, represents our redirected effort in finding the best talent in Kenya and providing them with as many opportunities as possible.

In attendance will be over 100 teams from across the nation in various age groups all battling for the chance to make history and be crowned the first ever Kito Cup champions. Along with competing for the love of the game, teams stand a chance to win cash from a pool of 300,000 Kenyan Shillings and the opportunity to turn their passion for football into a career.

Our dream for this tournament is to create an unforgettable football experience for both players and fans.  Unlike some of our previous tournaments, Kito Cup will be completely centred around the players. Expect live streaming of games, interviews, game analysis, awards and so much more.

The tournament is scheduled for the 13th and 14th of April 2018 at St. Christopher’s School in the leafy suburbs of Karen, Nairobi.

As has been for the last two tournaments, Green Sports’ team of scouts will be on hand to watch out for the best talent that is on offer. Players selected will get chances to advance their career through other Green Sports ventures i.e. trials, academy and our football club.

Additionally, for the first time ever, there will be a cash (and/or other) prize worth 20,000 Kenyan Shillings awarded to the runners-up.
