Wamo Day Care Centre

At Green Sports Africa we believe in giving back to the community and we do this by supporting Wamo Day Care Centre located in Kawangware, Nairobi. The centre takes in children that are orpaned or have parents that are not financially capable of providing them with basic needs. The centre conducts the Kenyan 8-4-4 system throughout the year to ensure the children get education and hopefully break the poverty cycle. We take some of our proceeds from the sale tournament tickets to provide and support for the day care centre. We mainly do this by conducting frequent visits with food and classroom supplies and in 2014, we refurbished their classrooms with whiteboards.

Food for Education

Additionally in 2015, we partnered with Food for Education to supplement the noble government initiative of providing free education to all primary going school children in Kenya. Together with Food for education, the plan is to feed One million school going children in Kenya by 2025.

Sponsored Teams

Thunder Foundation U15 sponsored by Supersport East Africa

Supporting our belief that all children should face equal opportunities regardless of their socio-economic backgrounds, we are always open to working with partners to sponsor teams to be able to participate in our tournaments. More recently, several players from a sponsored team, Acakoro FC, dominated our Gold Cup 2017 tournament being crowned champions in both the U15 and U18 tournament. Majority of their player were also scouted by our internal scouting team and participated in our inaugural trials which gave them the opportunity to kick start their football career.
